The house after the school run.
A small reset, with room left for living.
A school morning can make a home feel like a departure lounge. Picture day adds its own little flourish. Once the rush passes, the answer does not have to be a complete reset of every room.
Choose one place that would make returning feel easier: the entryway, a chair, or the bit of counter where the next cup will land. Put away what belongs elsewhere. Leave the rest of the house out of the negotiation.
Today’s OyaJava coffee preparation is a reminder that a kitchen is also somewhere to enjoy being. A home can support a ritual without becoming a showroom for it.
Open the curtain. Make room for the ordinary objects you love. A lived-in home is allowed to look as though a morning happened here.
